Uffe Nielsen is now a Honorary member of World Chefs
Uffe Nielsen was today appointed as an honorary member of World Chefs, recognizing his significant contributions to the culinary arts on a global scale. His journey in the culinary world is marked by extensive work in promoting Danish and Nordic gastronomy since the 1990s.
Nielsen served as president of the Nordic Chefs' Association (NKF) for six groundbreaking years from 2011 to 2017, where his heartfelt approach and unwavering support established him as a beloved figure in the culinary community. He is widely recognized for his warmth, generosity, and humor, traits that have endeared him to his peers who consider him a cherished friend and mentor.
Uffe Nielsen's legacy extends far beyond titles. Under his guidance, the Danish national culinary teams have experienced remarkable success, achieving top honors in various competitions. He is also the chairman of the operating fund for Kornets Hus and co-runs three acclaimed eateries, known collectively as "Hos Uffe," with his wife, Lisbet. Their establishments include the Theatre Café at Vendsyssel Theatre, The Old Smithy at Børglum Bakke, and Café Vognporten near Børglum Monastery.
In addition to his new honor within World Chefs, Uffe holds the title of honorary president of the Danish Chefs' Association and Nordic Chef Association.
